We are delighted to announce that Bafta winner Bob Bentley will be attending Erotic Art London to give a presentation and interview on his work.

Bob will show clips from his famous film “The Pleasure of Rope”. The film provides an in-depth behind the scene look into the fascinating world of Japanese rope bondage (aka kinbaku or shibari).  This will pair well with our Shibari life-drawing class held on the same day, as well as a performance from Maya Homerton demonstrating Shibari.

The 90 min version will be screened by Sky Arts on Valentine’s Day, but the unabridged 3 disc DVD with 100 mins more content will be available – together with a hard-back book (see www.thepleasureofrope.com). He will also be previewing his new book on Japanese erotic art ‘Shunga + Bijin-ga = Erotica’.

Following his interview and Q and A session with the audience, Bob will then be available for book and artwork signings. 

Many will not realise that despite having a very fulfilled career as a film director, Bob actually went to Art college and loves to draw in his spare time.  Signed, limited edition artwork will be available to purchase.

Bob Bentley is one of the UK’s visionary directors. A BAFTA award winner with RECLUSE his work has been described as exquisite, intriguing, and beautifully crafted.

We can’t wait to hear what he has to say at the exhibition!

General public entrance tickets for the exhibition are due to be released Monday 5^th February.
